The website is new

For a long time Playmofan.ch ran on technology older than most of the pictures on it. It served faithfully, but every new album turned into a fiddle, everything looked squashed on a phone, and fast the site was not.

Now it has been rebuilt.

What has changed

The site is no longer a program that calculates on every visit — it is a set of finished pages. You notice it because an album is simply there instead of arriving two seconds later. Every picture is prepared in three sizes and two modern formats, so your device takes what fits instead of downloading the full camera resolution.

Everything exists in German, English and Spanish. Switch at the top right and you stay on the same page.

What has stayed the same

The pictures. All of them. Nothing was lost, and quite a lot has been added that sat on my hard drive for years — the aqua park, the gravel works, the station I built myself.

And the attitude. Playmofan.ch is private and stays that way. No advertising, nothing for sale, no partnerships with anyone. A photo portal for small plastic figures, and nothing more.

This blog is new and will fill up — with what I am building, what goes wrong with 3D printing and how a diorama actually comes together. A few posts are already below.
